Our Mission

To take the lead role in coordinating the County's responsibility to plan, analyze, conduct and maintain programs to preserve and protect lives and property from major emergencies and disasters of all types. In this capacity, it maintains a current adequate emergency management program for the County of Wayne and all participating local municipalities.

Wayne County Asks You To Be Prepared. Wayne County is taking steps to become educated, trained, and better prepared, and we urge you to take time to do the same at home. There are simple steps you can take to better prepare yourself and your family. Wayne County Executive Robert A. Countywide Alert System

Have you Signed Up for Wayne County's Countywide Alert System?  Wayne County DHSEM paid for the CWA System with UASI grant dollars.  You can be notified of emergencies and disasters affecting your neighborhood as well as school closing information.  Please go to this site in order to sign up...  It's free!
